Some of your comments: Finally we have a museum that truly honours our national bard in an appropriate and exciting way and one which we can be proud of. It is only when you travel that you appreciate that Robert Burns inspired not just Scots but people from Russia to the USA and that his words still have a resonance in today's world. The museum mixes old and new tributes and images of Burns to re-engage Scots and tourists alike. Very well done! What a fantastic museum, we really enjoyed our visit and it was great to see all the interactive presentations that children (and adults) could enjoy. The walk from the cottage to the museum was lovely as were the cafe and the gardens. We could have spent much more time at this excellent well laid out museum. The Museum uses multipe media types to engage a wide audience. Local school children were invloved in the production of some of the interactive elements. The design is well thought out with a creative use of space, colour, lighting and sound. Imaginative details are used throughout the site such as sculpture and installations providing the opportunity for visitors to interpret the many aspects of Robert Burn's life and work. Overall there is a contemporay feel allowing visitors to understand the relevance of the issues our national poet brings to life.
