Mostyn, for the refurbishment and extension of its gallery
The new building's blending of old and new in a memorable whole, and provides the context and stimulus for some of the most interesting art to be seen in Wales. Mostyn is a publicly-funded gallery showing contemporary art from Wales, the UK and overseas in a programme of temporary exhibitions with associated learning activities. It does have a very small collection of disparate works acquired as purchase prizes in its annual Mostyn Open exhibition but its core purpose is to show temporary exhibitions.

I believe all the team at Mostyn have a very real passion and commitment in all that they do. They work extremely hard to bring a variety of exhibitions to a diverse range of people on what is generally a very tight budget. The gallery is local to me and brings exciting displays of different artwork to north wales. It helps you to see the wider world through various peoples perspectives. There is also a great cafe here!
