  The purpose of The Art Fund Prize for museums and galleries is to recognise and stimulate originality and excellence in museums and galleries in the UK, and increase public appreciation and enjoyment of all they have to offer.  
  A single award of £100,000 is presented to a museum or gallery whose entry, in the opinion of the judges, best meets the Prize criteria through a project completed or mainly undertaken in the previous calendar year.

Sky Arts follows the judging panel as it tours, argues and debates the 11 long listed museums. Below is a preview of the film shown at the long listed museums during Love Your Museum weekend.

The 30 minute documentary premieres on Sky Arts 2, 1st May at 5:30pm.

Eleven museums comprised the original 2010 Long List. Although the Long List traditionally comprises ten, such was the volume of high-quality applications under consideration that the Judges felt it was impossible to select less than eleven.
